SUNO can do more than this workflow asks of it — what its own splitter and Studio cover, and when we still route through Logic and Moises.

Worth being clear, since it's easy to imply otherwise: SUNO has its own stem splitter, and SUNO Studio can take a track all the way to a finished product without ever touching a DAW. So the hand-offs in this guide are a preference — how this Logic-centered workflow likes to work — not a list of things SUNO can't do.

The built-in stem splitter

SUNO's splitter is roughly in Logic's league and fine in a pinch — it pulls a render apart without leaving the app, which is genuinely convenient when you just want to audition a part in isolation. When separation quality really matters, this workflow still reaches for Logic's Stem Splitter locally, or Moises for the finer breakdowns (lead/background vocal splits, individual drum components, guitar subcategories) — but that's a choice, not a necessity.

SUNO Studio

SUNO Studio is SUNO's own in-app production environment — enough of a mixing surface to take a track to a finished product without a DAW, with multitrack editing and stem-to-MIDI extraction reported on higher tiers. In other words, it overlaps parts of both Logic and Moises. This guide still routes finishing through Logic by preference, because that's where the deepest control lives — treat Studio's deeper features as worth testing in your own account rather than taking on faith.

The one genuine gap

SUNO generates a whole song from a prompt; it does not listen to an existing bass line and play drums that lock to it. That reactive, context-aware role belongs to Moises AI Studio — this is the capability SUNO genuinely doesn't have.
